GB1 Proton Pack build and have a question about the Dale PH-25 resistor on the Ion Arm.
Looking at photos of original hero GB1 packs, the base/mounting area of the PH-25 appears to be brass or have a brass-colored ring right where it attaches. Is this achieved by using a round brass washer underneath, or is it something else?
I’m trying to replicate it as close to the real hero props as possible, so any reference photos or advice on the correct mounting method would be greatly appreciated!
I would say the resistor is held into the ion arm using the nut that came with it. If you are using that picture of the Superhero for reference - keep in mind that is not how the Superhero likely appeared “on screen”. Those photos are post retrofit GB2 and then retrofitted again for PH display. The Superhero appeared in deleted scenes in GB2, and in GB1 it did not look like those reference pics that are on the library. Your best bet for replicating “accuracy” is watching the scenes carefully that feature the prop you want to replicate and copy what you see.

The “brass washer” look was only made canon as of Afterlife on the Phoebe Hero (by putting the mounting nut that comes with those resistors on the outside of the ion arm). All the original 84/89 props were simply epoxied in place.
