How the hell did [Slimer](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/characters/slimer) initially get the name Onion head? Just what about slimer’s appearance reminds you of a freakin onion?! An onion that was 15 years old and exposed to toxic waste maybe.. I don’t know this question sort of just “popped in there” ---

^^ I think especially in the earlier drawings I guess. Though then at times he looked more like a potato. Referenced by Ray a few times in the script. “Freeze potato-face!” “ugly little spud” etc His onion booty 😃 ---

“Onionhead” as I’ve always heard it is a nickname for someone with no/very little hair and and oddly-shaped head. [Slimer](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/characters/slimer) is bald and oddly-shaped, hence “onionhead.” Any more over-analysis? ---
