Requirements For Selling on GBFans.

I have read the requirements and understand them and that I have a while before I can sell anything. I am not sure if my next question is relevant for this forum but I have no idea how to sell anything on the internet. Can someone point me in the right direction. I have a paypal account but I have no experience shipping things or anything.

Here’s a sorta step-by-step for the selling process:

1) - Once you’ve reached the three required criteria to sell on GBFans.

Once all criteria have been met, please take a moment to read this topic:

New Guidelines for Buyers & Sellers.

-This topic details what you need to include in your sale listing, such as a contact email, photos of the item, and a rough declaration of where you live in the world (if you don’t wish to sell outside of your home country, this needs to be specified in your listing).

2) - Once your listing has been posted on the forum.

Interest in the item will be anybody’s guess. Some items are rare, some not so much. Be prepared for the item to sit around for a while if there isn’t much interest.

Once somebody indicates interest, check to see where they live. You might be able to check on postage costs by going to your local Post Office, but you can also do it online as long as you have a ruler and a set of scales to help you determine the weight.

-It never hurts to add a bit more padding so that there’s extra protection… if you don’t have any boxes at home that are suitable for posting items, most major metropolitan areas have stores that sell parcel boxes and wrapping.

3) - Once you’ve got a buyer.

Once you have somebody who definitely wants to buy the item, and a postage cost, you can either send a payment request to the buyer’s email, or vice versa… once they’ve paid you’re then free to post it off. As an additional note you can request the seller to leave feedback for you in the Feedback Forum if they’re happy with the transaction.

There’s not much else I can add to that, as I’ve only really done a handful of transactions. Some folks here have sent off hundreds of items through the GBFans Marketplace. I hope this helps.

Awesome thank you

I dont have a paypal. Is it possible to send an invoice

to my email and pay that way?

Usually, if you PM the seller, they can help you out… but, normally, it would be best to just open a paypal account…

How would you pay the invoice?

Related, also how would buyers make payments? Most people I know user PayPal because if a seller doesn’t come through, they can file a dispute.

As a buyer, you also need an acknowledgement that a payment has been accepted and actually gone through.

Just wanna start off saying that Im not here to break any of the rules or question them. That being said I would like to respond to a post in the wanted section and would like to know if I have to include all these things in my reply:

Also. I would like that all new topics to have the following items in the First Post:

-Name (First and Last)

-City, State and Country.

-Email (Preferred, but not required).

-Price (if only selling one item, otherwise put a price next to each item)

-Detailed Description / History of Item.

-Pictures.

Can I sell yet?

Not yet, you currently need a Supporting Membership, which can either be purchased, or earned by helping to edit the GBFans wiki.

Purchased how I’ve bought stuff from the shop, before.

thanky now i know the rules

Hey guys,

How long after becoming a supporting member can I post an item for sale? Thanks

You should be able to post a sale item as soon as the supporting membership has been processed, and your username has turned red.

What if we a store on esty and would like to advertise our product. I designed a proton pack stand. And am selling the stls for it.

I believe you still would have to acquire a supporting membership to advertise the files here, as you’d be looking to sell the files for a monetary return.

trying to figure out the membership part to be able to post parts for sale but can;t find it and the post a topic is also missing for me in the for sale area. Help?

You can access the page for Supporting Memberships here: LINK

-I’ve also updated the first post in this topic to include a link, as it’s not as clear to find as other pages on the website.

  • It won’t be visible until you’ve purchased the Supporting Membership.

thank you!
