So happy that they made a Janine but why didn’t they make her with the white or hot pink jumpsuit? The orange is hideous.
I believe it’s because the orange came first in “Janine’s Genie” followed by the white in “Mr Sandman, Dream me a Dream”, then Peter’s Brown in “Janine Melnutz, Ghostbuster.” I’m just greatful Mattel didn’t cut another corner and use the brown. It would have been correct as well.
If you want it to be accurate, you can roll up her sleeves and put the knee pads on the knees. That’s how her uniform was worn in the episode.
Well, “Mister Sandman” actually came first, but remember that wasn’t a “real” uniform–it was only worn by her “dream self”.
It was the “Mister Sandman” suit that had the knee pads, not the “Janine’s Genie” suit, as Kingpin points out. Proof:

Admittedly, my favorite look for her was one that was only in one issue of the Now Comic, so I’m not surprised it wasn’t used (it was Egon’s color with orange on the collar and cuffs). I’m just thankful they didn’t stick her in the vomitously sexist pink suit from most of the series.

Honestly, I thought I remember the kneepads too, but I checked AJ’s screencaps and went “Huh. I guess I was wrong and Ben was right. It’s right there in the screencaps.” I guess I out thought myself again. :lol:

There are 4 to a box as these were still in the box when I got to Tru last week and bought 2.
they have them up on the toysrus web site now came under 60 with shipping
not sure if you guys are aware but this has been marked down to 20.00 now which is a great deal plus you can choose store pickup (online price only it says) if your store has it in stock and you can go pick it up. I just ordered me another one and will pick it up locally.

yeah I’m glad I didnt buy this before, $50 seemed over-priced. I think it should’ve originally been like $35, but now that it’s $20 I picked it up plus the Ghostbusters DS game.
saw them at $20 at my local TRU…might have jumped if they had marked down the single figures more than just to $20 each
