# Ribbon cable question

I leave in a very rural part of Georgia and cannot find a [ribbon cable](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/ribbon-cable) anywhere within 60 miles. Is there anything I can use as an alternative ?

Are there any big chain stores that carry something that would make a good approximation of the [ribbon cable](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/equipment/proton-pack/ribbon-cable)? Has anyone made a find like that?

Aw man, that was out of stock last time I checked. I wound up having to use black IDE hard drive cable since that’s all I had laying around.
