Love the interactivity for the reset. Our last con everyone loved inserting a trap (haslab) and pulling the lever.
I can definitely recommend converting to a metal handle, seems to bear up under the pulling much better. I used hollow aluminium square and hollow round tube with a threaded rod bent into shape and pushed through both. Then used JB Weld epoxy to join the two parts together and a load of blobs along the rod in the handle.
More JB weld and a washer capped the rear of the tube and UV resin was used to cap off the other end and it certainly seems to be working out.
I’ve also noticed that the haslab trap cartridge has some slight scratches on the base, and the handle will need tightening after another long day of use. I will probably look at getting a metal, or partially metal trap for use instead.
