Wait… violent? … didn’t you like.. go around squirting at zombies with a freakin’ water gun??? :-?
Yes you did fight them with a water gun but you also could pick up other weapons. But the most violent thing about it was the zombies. they would kill you with chainsaws and eat you. seems violent for a 7 year old ( back in those days)
Oh right! Forgot about that! haha!
Cheers! Your right! For that time period it would have been violent..
I remember now.. there was a dude dressed like Jason Vorhees and running around with a chainsaw cutting down hedges trying to kill you..
It was a very weird game, but also VERY fun! ![]()
got the game for free today since my girlfriend bought me brutal legend and Uncharted 2 from best buy. (They’re having a buy 2 get 1 of equal or lesser value free sale just fyi) So I’ll be posting my review when I get to it… which will be a while becaus eI mean come on I have brutal legend and uncharted 2
Uncharted 2 is awesome, you wont be able to stop till you beat it. Don’t really know about Brutal Legend
Uncharted 2 is awesome yes. Played through it twice in 1 run. thank god it had alot better controls then the 1st one. which was also an awesome game. but the controls where a little too dodgy.
Brütal Legend is great too. you wont be able to stop till you’r at least half way through it. Then it gets a bit too repetative. It’s fun though and the soundtrack really is great. If your into rock.
Going to try and do this without spoilers. first 4 hours of play time. I found it to be semi- imersive enough for me in the same way that the movies were. My girlfriend who isn’t a gamer, didn’t find it so much. we both took turns playing back and fourth. it has a feel like the second movie did. You’re a cop trapped in a mental institution. Jigsaw put a key in you that all the patients need to escape. you’re walking through paths to find out who you are, how to leave and all around just staying alive. Jigsaw has various games here and there including the first one which calls for you to solve puzzles and pay attention to details of course. All games are phyiscally painful to the dectetive but not so much to the play. sometimes he’s reaching into toilets full of needles or razors and it goes to an X-ray shot of him and the toilet just so I can see how much it hurts, but I mean I’m judging his pain by the jerking of his skeleton so out the window with that emotionally reading. There was one game in particular and you may want to stop reading if you’re dying to play this game, but you have 4 people in a room 3 are alive and 1 is not and he hold to key to escape. There’s no punishment for me killing the other 3 except that they scream and I have it on my conscience. well Maria was playing and I was sitting there trying to read each clue to figure out who has a key in them. she just grabs a knife and goes to town. at first I was shocked but I can’t help but feel that was the right thing to do. I mean they dont help me after ward, there’s no moral choice system and when I kill them they don’t explode or anything and I don’t know these people they aren’t friendds that helped me through puzzles so why should I care if I gut them and search them. I can see where this game is going and in the unreal engine it looks pretty good. it’s got good atmosphere so but after a while it’s a little easier to take a step back and see that these electronic puppets have less life and worth than the actors in the movies. I’ll update later when I get further. :walterpeck:
Well I never thought I would have seen Saw become a video game. If they’re gonna go that far they might as well do Hostel too…
BITE YOUR TONGUE!!!
Haha no, I’m serious - I love horror films, but I was surprised they made Saw a video game mostly because regardless of my personal enjoyment of demented and brutal [fictional] slasher films I thought it might have been a little much for a video game to include that amount of gore. Guess I was mistaken! Additionally, the effort to put together a compelling world and storyline would be akin to creating another movie in the series which I think really fell off after the third or fourth installment (haven’t seen the sixth). Again, from the IGN review shared above in addition to the thumbs up from posters like yourself it actually looks like there might be something worth my taking a serious look. I really would like to see a Hostel video game… not sure what that says about me
…Incidentally, I’m a little over halfway through Uncharted 2 and also think it’s outstanding. Drake’s Fortune was top notch but had some odd behavior with the aiming mechanism. I think they addressed these issues in the new game and it feels much more natural to me. I love the story and scenery in these games and it’s altogether superb.
