Michigan is the same way, we will probably still be getting snow in April, they (the news media) said that this has been one of the worst winters we have ever seen, one snow storm after another within a period of 4 days, and lows of -17 degrees…Damn! Global Warming! :sigh:

I live in New Hampshire and so far this year we’ve had five feet of snow. It amuses me to read that you closed parks because there were four inches of snow on the ground making them too treacherous for children to play in. 🙂

I will say though, that for someone who has so little experience with snow, that’s one of the better snowmen I’ve seen.

Good show old chap!

If you think that’s a laugh you should visit Texas. My dad commutes there and he can’t beleive how they can’t handle winter. They cancel flights (he works for American Airlines) and have snow emergencys for as little as a half inch of snow. When it gets into the 40’s he goes to work in a windbreaker and passes people bundled up in scarves and ear muffs and massive winter jackets.

I live in Kentucky and we finally got a good snow for the first time in years but had little time to enjoy it. The next day everything got covered in ice. 😢 So enjoy your snow while you got it.

We didn’t close them, the 'elf and safety brigade did.

There was an article in today’s paper where some scientists claimed this prooves Global Warming. _Yeah, right_. :eyeroll:

If you live in the UK you should be very concerned about global warming.

The term “global warming” does not mean every point on the planet will get warmer. It refers to a change in the AVERAGE temperature of the planet, which can rise, even as some portions get cooler.

And that can lead to changes in weather patterns.

Ever wonder why it’s so warm where you are? No? Well you should. You’re sitting at the same latitutde as Siberia!

The gulf stream is the only thing keeping London from freezing like a popsicle. And if that shuts down, you’ll get to make snow marshmallow men every year. Life-size!

🆒
