For those of you that have been, any tips or warnings I should be aware of? I read that the badge line can be pretty long if you don’t pick it up before the expo so I’m hoping getting there at ~10:00AM will give me enough time for the noon meetup.
I will be there all three days, but only suiting up Saturday. I remember Comikaze staff tweeting the fans, asking if they wanted to see the Ecto-1. Looks like they responded big time.
I’m not exactly sure who I met today but I ran into a bunch of you guys (some from GBFans) and had a great time, especially for my first con. Getting to see the original Ecto-1 and pose with it was one hell of a bonus. I was there with some other people otherwise I’d have stuck around but I’m looking forward to the next event.
If anyone has or knows where I can get some hi-res pics of our gathering at Ecto-1, please let me know. I’ve only got a few crummy cell phone pics. Here’s a few:
Figure I’d post what I find. Quick blurb here.

I have photos of only the Ecto-1. Who was the energetic gal in the Ghostbusters shirt taking photos of some of us on Saturday? She was shadowing us for the longest time. She seems she would have hundreds of photos.
Hey ghostfan003,
The “energetic gal” was a group members relative. The camera was mine. I will be posting the pics as soon as I can get them uploaded!!! ![]()
It was great to meet you and so many other ghost heads!! Such a great event and all of us ghostbusters really stood out!
Awesome on both accounts! Looking forward to seeing what you guys captured!
It was great meeting all of you. I tried to stay out of the pictures, as I kinda figured I stood out like a sore thumb. However it still was great to meet you all, and I had a good time, thank you again for allowing me to be part of the group photos. Hopefully next year my GB costume will be finished!!
No worries! Great meeting you and looking forward to seeing your pack done next time.
Random one I saw on Facebook
^the gb2s!!nice meeting the gb1s btw sorry forgot to associate your real names with sns.
Haha I did the same. I totally forgot to ask anyone for screennames.
What would be really great is if something like this could happen every year at Comikaze…a PKE Surge for the West Coast.
I read a Forbes article stating that Comikaze is expanding tremendously and has already topped last year’s attendance numbers—conservatively in the 50,000+ range, all without raising ticket prices. Hopefully, more Ghostheads will see this as a viable alternative to Comic-Con.
^ based on your avatar I believe we spoke on brief. Steven I think?
Hahaha. It’s Aaron, but close enough. ![]()
■■■■ I Wanted to say aaron/Erin scumbag brain.
It was great to see all the new ghost heads and some I have already met many times…this con was dominated by Ghostbusters. We will definitely have to do this again. Great job guys.
Had a blast meeting up with all of the Ghostheads at Comikaze and my apologies if I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself to all of you guys. @ _ecto84 your slimeblower is a real work of art and glad I got to see it in person. I sincerely wish we all could have interacted a little more but it was a bit chaotic with everyone wanting pictures, especially with the real Ecto-1 in attendance. Hope to see all of you guys again in the future and we should have all the pictures posted up soon.
Seriously…that Ecto1 was a photo trap. Any time we’d get near it we’d get swarmed for photos. Even just walking by it alone when it was quiet meant people would run up.
I was in costume on Sunday as well and it was still the case.
There was a nice young guy who was the caretaker (for lack of a better term) of the Ecto-1. He would wipe it down occasionally and sit nearby to make sure no one touched the vehicle. He had a bunch of tools inside the ambulance as well…I wanted to ask him if he’d fix the siren, since it was loose, crooked and the radar dome was somehow rotated the wrong way.
I tried to coax him to turn on the lights, but he said Comikaze didn’t want the lights on. He said the ambulance has a great sound system. I wanted to ask him more questions about the whole process of taking care of that beast and how Sony can be approached to have it displayed, but I had trouble finding him. We should convince Comikaze to display it again.
