I have a pair of goggles I made back in October. Standard welding goggles I got from Home Depot. My main annoyance is that the strap that is on my goggles keeps coming out, and if/when i wear it on my head when im not seeing thru them, the strap gets loose. So, my question is: is there a way that I can reinforce the strap that is already on the goggles without putting on a strap that goes over your head, or so I have to add the second strap? I know the goggles in the films has the overhead strap already on it. So how do I put it on there?

Cant you sew the strap to itself so that it cant move?

That would probably solve what I think you mean… but I may have read it wrong.

yeah, i’ve thought about that. I suppose I could. then I also wanted to know about how to do the thing like the goggles in the movies where there’s that strap that goes over the user’s head.

You could get an adjustment clip from Joanne’s Fabrics or something…they keep straps in place… like this one:

> **[Welcome JOANN Shoppers | Your Favorite Fabrics | Michaels](https://www.michaels.com/lp/welcome-joann?joannweb)**
>
> JOANN has closed down, but your crafting journey doesn't end here. Discover fabric, yarn, sewing supplies & more at Michaels, your new creative home.

You’ll just need to find the right size. I used one like that on the overhead strap.
