The Global Warming scam--the smoking gun

Well, we’ve had discussions on here in the past about the topic and we all had our opinions based on various evidence or just our gut feelings. Last Thursday a hacker took a ton of emails and other documents from a server in Britain belonging to a big climate change study center and put them up for all to see.

Anyways, out of the many many documents authored by the top scientists that push man made global warming, the truth is starting to come out. Manipulated data, data that supports global cooling being suppressed, and the list goes on. It all adds up to one of the greatest scandals in the history of science...and they almost got away with it.

I wanted to put this on here last week, but wanted to wait to make sure it wasn't a hoax. There is a ton of documents that still have to be poured over, I'm sure it's just the tip of the iceberg.

IMO.

What is so bad about wanting to reduce CO2 emissions, get better gas milage, stop using natural resources.. etc? The Global Warming “scam” creates jobs, work, and sparks innovations.

I wonder how this will pan out.

I also agree with AJ. I was never 100% convinced of man-made global warming, but the steps to reduce CO2 emissions just seems like common sense to me.

+2 with what AJ said

as far as global warming, I never really believed in it because if it honestly was that big of a deal, more would have been done about it. I am agreeing with the whole “Go Green” Campaign though

Well, my problem with the go green campaign is that they have taken something that should just be the norm and turned it into a trend.

Probably because the only way to get people to recycle is to make it trendy. I remember when it was common to see people throw their cups in the gutter.

Fact is, why wait till it’s too late or “confirmed” to treat the planet better. Oh, because I want my McDonald’s breakfast in 2 separate Styrofoam containers to keep the hot side hot, and the cold side cold.

But hey, a hacker told me it’s all a lie. I always trust thieves.

3 words AJ-- Cap And Trade.

I don’t want my energy prices skyrocketing based on junk science. Especially if the intended benefit isn’t worth the cost.

Reducing CO2 emissions will have virtually no effect, unless we can stop all that volcanic activity–the main source of all CO2. The impact humans have in terms of overall global weather patterns is trivial. Lawmakers passing laws and taxes based on phony research is completely unacceptable.

Maybe we should have saved all those trees after all. :frowning:

Tadao, about trusting hackers…It now falls upon ordinary people to expose corruption these days it seems.

Look at Acorn for instance... It took 2 kids and a video camera traveling around to various offices to expose the corruption... It took a private eye's vigilance to catch Acorn dumping 20,000 sensitive documents in dumpsters two days before the district attorney came out to investigate their San Diego offices. There are times that history puts a single person in place to do public good, and if it's a hacker, then so be it. Where are the big news organizations? Where is investigatory journalism?

to everyone—

I’m wondering where the outrage is? A scam that could impact your country, our future, and your wallets!

Wake up.

if we travel down this path, we’ll regret it…about as much as this guy regrets getting this tattoo.

I was kidding about the hackers. I does go both ways though. If a hacker produced evidence contrary to another persons beliefs, they tend to say that it is untrustworthy.

I’m too tired to be outrage by humans and government anymore. How does this news impact me? I’ll try to tread even more carefully on the planet now because I believe that this will just give more people an excuse to be inconsiderate of their surroundings. That should outrage me, but like I said, I’m kinda numb.

I’ve never believed either side of the climate debate; science is motivated by money - we no longer live in the days of olde, where people did research out of curiosity and produced serendipitous results. And while it is not conclusive, I find it difficult to believe either side of the debate when their research is funded by groups that have a horse in the race so to speak.

The concepts of wanting to find alternate fuel sources and to try improve where we can are good… but the problem is when they’re being rammed into people’s throats as the only option, and are backed up by science which is ever more quickly having holes poked into it.

The problem with Global Warming is that it’s now become a cult, akin to the sort of scientific scapegoatism that occurred when people doubted that the world was flat…

What will we know “tomorrow”? There’s a good chance that a lot of what we’ve been told about Man-Made Global Warming (also, notice how few even say it’s Global Warming anymore… it’s now Climate Change to avoid the fact that things aren’t getting quite so hot as they predicted) was in fact not the truth, and not real science, but propaganda.

Cult? It’s a religion…

If these released emails don’t poke holes in the Man Made Climate theory…then how about some shopped hurricanes?

Hahaha I can’t wait till we are all dead.

Its a conspiracy so people buy japanese cars thinking they’re saving our environment…

Meanwhile, China is over there polluting the rest of the planet.

OMG u r an idiot.

So, everyone is ok with it being called a religion and religion is bad right?

AJ, why u always so serious?

And don’t write like that! Makes you sound like a cheerleader

I love my Japanese car.

Maybe I’ll let you take a ride in it.

Isn’t Bad religion A band?
