Awesome! cant want to see everything squared away in the shell, keep up the good work!
Dude, that is so rad. Have you tried the vent system yet?
Thanks. Yeah. I tired the venting with 1/8" ID tubing like in the video, didn’t work so well. Im going to get some 1/16" ID tubing to try next.
How did you get your cylinders to automatically go back in once pressure is released?
They are double acting cylinders with a 4-way solenoid valve. So when the valve is activated it will force out the cylinder rod, then retract when the valve is deactivated all using the gas pressure.
Ok,back to work on this project. Shell was stuck in customs for 3 months and air cylinders where backordered. Heres just a teaser pic of the rod ejection system.

Nice, I think I can see what your going for there.
One area im working on is the electronics, Kind of the more you learn, the more you realise you need to learn.
Keep up the good work man. Can’t wait to see the pack
Thought I’d add venting to my SC pack for a little proof of concept and testing.

Ok the rod and leds are working, I’d like to frost the acrylic rod more with a sandblaster.
That’s awesome, great work. The color/light being uniform through the rod looks so cool. Love all your updates, keep em coming!
Holy crap those rods are awesome. It sounds like they come out with a lot of force.
This is so awesome!
I’m thinking when there’s 4 of them, they won’t be so forceful. I was using 20psi in the video test. Heres all 4 finished housings for the actuators.

is there a chance id be able to get my hands on a copy of the files for the 3d printed housing?
you could try an oblong car speaker here instead of under the cyclotron.

Seems like a real small one might work.
Send me your email.
This is really, really neat!
