I am on the XBOX360 version and I cant figure out how the hell you open the gate in the Cemetery
I’m currently at the First Big Meuseum Boss. 4 Slime Pits and Slime containers all over the place. I figured out that you had to blow up some of the slime containers, but I can’t figure out what to do next, and eventually the game froze on me mid play..
Any ideas?
When looking at the GATE CONTROL sign, there’s a weight to the left, and a little up. 2 tethers on the weight attached to the ground knocks it into place.
It’s big, brown, and on a large corckscrew.
Ok, I know most of you guys are on about the ps3/x-box versions… possibly the ps2/Wii…
But i was curious… since this thread is up… I was wondering if there is anyone out the who has played and beaten the DS version, and could tell me how to open those gates on the “Shandor’s Revenge” mission
I managed to shatter those statues that opened the one gate to the western Crypt, but I wound up clueless on where to go or what to do from there, and I spent most of the time defending against all the manifesting ghosts there.

Im in the library and I cantseemtowragle any beams. I keep trying but not one of them will move.
Im getting tired of Ray and Egon telling me the beams are stuck fast so to use the capture stream to wrangle them out
I just cant seem to do it

Just keep working at it. Make sure that you are “Slamming” the beams in an opposite direction. I personally pull as hard as I can to the right then slam them a couple of times. They will eventually come free, even if you might accidentally throw them into Ray… 
Oh I have it now.
I grabbed the beams from the front, walked to the very left hand side and slammed them to the right, they popped straight out.
I’ve been trying to drag them out from the front for the past 30 minutes!!!

Yeah, the beams where a pain. I had to do it more than a few times to get 'em loose.
Ok Ok… Im stuck like crazy!! I am in the sewer, in the big room with the poool of black slime. I have to open the gate and let the slime out. HOW DO I DO THAT!!! its been driving me insane for about 45 mins..Im probably gonna cry if its real simple…
There are two weights on either side of the gate. You’ll see a little circle plate on the ground to know where they are. Look up slightly, tether them to the ground.

very simple but very hard to see. I made that mistake also. Glad i bought the prima guide.
I spotted them when I had my PKE out; I was able to scan the weight-holders on the ground, which is why I looked up, and saw them.
im still missing a ghost scan from BOTH Sedgewick levels. I’ve compared whats in the guide to what I have scanned and i have it all scanned. WTF?
On either side of the gate are two weights that you have to slime-tether to the ground to pull them all the way down & release the gate.
On a side note: The title of this thread should’ve been “The Official “Think we’re stuck…” and strategy thread” lol
Has anyone gotten Polar Slimer to appear in multiplayer? I’m having difficulty figuring out just what I have to do to get his slimey blue ass.

There are 4 spheres around the outer posts of the machine that are moving up & down. They have beams of an orangish energy shooting down. You’ll notice one of the 4 spheres is already damaged and sparking. You must damage the other 3 by slime tethering them to the floor. Two tethers should be sufficient enough to pull one sphere down with enough force to smash it. Once the remaining 3 have been smashed be ready to run up the stairs as the room will begin to fill with black slime.
Wii version: Ok, my wife, son and I had a hard time on this but figured it out, so I’m posting it here:
Inside the Ghost Island castle, there are 4 skull chains that you pull doen in series, but the brides fall into the black slime and you die. Pull down the chains, use the Stasis ray (A button) on the chains from the bridge .This freezes the bridge in place and then you can wal to the next bridge and pull down the next skull chain until you are out! Hope that helps someone.
Okay, I feel foolish, but I can’t “escape the ghost world.” Those book creatures that form keep killing me. Any tips?
