When I was a child, I once threw a tantrum because my parents wouldn’t give me money to rent the Ghostbusters 2 videotape…

…for the fifth time.

That said, I never owned any Ghostbusters merchandise when I was a kid, apart from one broken Egon with a blue ghost that stuck onto his butt that I got from a flea market and the “crocodile mouth lady” the name of which I can’t even remember. [The Real Ghostbusters](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/games/the-real-ghostbusters-activison) never even aired here as far as I know, but we did at least get the comicbook series translated into Finnish (with the Finnish title conveniently slapped over the “Real” on the cover).

Until now that I own the [Trendmasters](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/extreme-ghostbusters/trendmasters) Ecto-1 and the [Mattel](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/toys/mattel) [Ghostbusters II](https://www.gbfans.com/wiki/games/ghostbusters-ii-activision) set and no figures that would actually fit in the car. And the movies on DVD/Blu-ray, obviously.

…did I say I’m new here?

Oh and I kinda liked the Filmation Ghostbusters too.

I rented GB2 so many times from my local Video store growing up that they just ordered me my own copy, so I know the feeling 😃

by the way, welcome to the site!

At least I _think_ it was the fifth time. I honestly can’t remember, this was way back in like 1990 and I _did_ rent that tape a _lot_.

I will never forget the blatant misprint in the back of the cover claiming the movie to be rated for 18 and up!
