tired question, I’m sure, but what are those 2 orange lights on Stantz’ pack in GB1? and why are they always ignored? anybody have them on theirs?
That was from the paint rubbing off on the fiberglass shell and the powercell lights shining through.
And if I remember correctly that little “error” was made into real lights on the game packs.Yes?

You can see the translucent part of the shell on Ray’s pack in this shot. I was thinking of doing this on my next pack but on the lights I have for it, the powercell lights are blue, not white. So I scrapped the idea.
you know, i always just figured that was a reflection of the lights used for scene lighting. guess it could be either.

i did a bit of comparision of blu-ray vs. reg dvd last night. You can see actually eyeballs in the grey lady in the library scene
I will admit a lot of the Blue ray is extremely clear, although like in the slimer scene for instance there are some shots where it is clear as a bell. Other shots are fuzzy. I also got 1989 batman, which is such an awesome bluray. Somehow they cleaned it up and everything looks nice, and they have tons of special features to boot. Like how they made the suit, batmobile, etc. I really wished they cleaned Ghostbusters like they did Batman. Maybe the 5 year differance really made an impact on the clarity of the film.
I’m skipping the bluray version and looking for a copy in 35mm. bluray is so last year’s tech LOL
Yeah I was a bit disappointed with the blu ray. Some scenes are grainy as shit. I think they did a half-arsed job of remastering it.
I also got Blade Runner the other day, the picture is crystal clear and it’s from the same era. I don’t know why GB is so ■■■■ in comparison.

until now i thought it might just be my PC or the fact that i have an .mkv rip of the BD, and not the actual disc, but i swear some of the shots from the 720p version that was floating around before the BD release were cleaner than some that i am getting from the BD version.
I’ve actually done the same. My switch has two functions… in the one position, it will allow my gun to power up all lights but in the other position the power will run through the switch and turn on just the pack lights.
Hey, does anybody know what those yellow lights are on Ray’s pack, by the power cell lights? Take a look at the scenes when he’s running through the Sedgewick!

Wow. I hadn’t seen that before. Good eye.
My guess would be it’s some sort of battery indicator, being that it is in a place that isn’t easily seen, but still visible without having to remove the pack, and the fact that it is so small.
But that’s all a big old guess.
