What socks was he wearing in the Sedgwick scene? I’m trying to make an accurate costume.
Borz.
I hate you.
Gold toe black socks. Mens size 8-10. I’ve been trying to find vintage stock in my dad’s drawer. Ill let you know how I make out
Gonna need a thread count on those socks. If its not right, I refuse to wear it.
Do you have a manufactuere name? I’m also looking for good sceen shot
Borz, you posted this in the wrong section. It clearly should have been put in the “Uniforms” forum.
Gold Toe is the manufacturer. This has been known for a long time! I thought everybody knew that.
Hanes does make a close alternative but you’ll have to get them altered in order to put the yellow thread on the toe. I used a gold sharpie on mine.
Somebody was making screen accurate Gold Toe socks last year. After a pretty enthusiastic start the seller screwed up on the logistics and the whole deal turned really sour. Bad times man. Just leave it.

Gentleman, I found them. Gonna order them in bulk then over charge all of you for them. kk?
I thought the reason he wore the legs untucked was because we had no socks?
Ketchum, you can’t sell. YOu don’t have supporting membership. Bad job you did.
I have the actual screenshots of the socks, but I signed a ndaXso you can’t see the pic
However, you will have to believe me when I say that the red toe variant was worn in some scenes
Thought they were navy socks, not black.
No, there black. You can’t wear navy with khaki
you mean
“im going to buy them for 10 dollars a pair, dye them in 3 dollar rit dye, and then over charge them by atleast 30 dollars.”
right?
The lighting and film stock make them look navy. I’ve seen behind the scenes photos taken in daylight. Trust me, they’re black.
That whole pillow fight scene, should have never been removed. It was a great scene.
True that.
In the shooting draft of the script there’s a scene where they play footsies while eating chinese in the firehall. Looks like that was left on the cutting room floor too. Oh well. Maybe well see it on the GB2 blu-ray
I always thought it didn’t matter. A.) you’d be wearing boots and B.) Who’s looking at your feet anyway?
Accuracy isn’t for everyone. If you’re one of those guys that wears white fruit of the loom socks with a Rothco that’s your business.
