Just under 6 weeks living alone.. well, me and the 2 cats.. and it’s enough already. Job.. no job.. home… no home.. it has been decided that once the ink is dry on the NJ Home sale- I head out to CA immediately. And by immediately I mean after I give my notice to my present employer, who is going to ask me to stay - which I will tell the wife that I will not be in CA for another 5 weeks…
5 weeks = 2 weeks notice and 3 weeks riding across the Southern states to CA.
After thinking about this, a lot, I arrived at the conclusion that I am not getting any younger- and the opportunity to take such a journey is going to be difficult (at best) to ever have again.
The Ford Freestyle… sold.
The next purchase… 
I have already mapped out the roads, gas stations, and stops, along the 4300 mile journey through 13 states with 23 (scheduled) stops.
If anyone is located along the following routes- let me know to swing on through to put the voice, and face, to the name.
As some of you may, or may not, be aware I file radio reports to a station back in England as “A Scouser in New York”… well, i’ll also be bringing along my mic. and grabbing interviews along the path to file reports as ASiNY becomes ASiCA.
85 through NC, SC to GA
20 through GA to S. NM
25 into NM / ABQ
40 through NM to S. NV
95 upto Groom NV back to S. NV
15 NV to final stop in LA, CA.

Anyone think of the weird and interesting along those, above, routes that are “MUST SEE” places… post it in here and I’ll see about adding them to my path.
