Wow! Assembly line packs. Is that MDF? Is it for a big GB event? Are you going into the props biz? Inquiring minds want to know : )

You sir, have my jealously.

10 packs at once… im impressed. you sir must have a serious amount of patience.

patience ? that only took him and dad 6 hours !

Lol, well my dad kinda did most of it… in probably less than that. he used the parts i’d already made as reference and just went from ther! He does that kinda stuff for a living so i guess he’s gotta be good at it!! He made all the base parts and im gonna add all the details and do all the cosmetic work and add extra bits to them… so i thikn it should all work out cool!!

I really didnt believe him when he said he could make on in two hours… So he made ten!!!

will update soon…

Do you plan on selling them? Cause I’d be interesting in buying parts. Being a beginner Proton Pack maker with limited to no tools kind of puts a damper on a few things.

However I wouldn’t be able to purchase them at the moment (If you’re interested in selling them) since eating is a little more important. Lol.

I would also be interested in one

Hey guys. Thanks for looking. No plans as of yet as to whats going to happen with them. I may use a few for some filming or maybe a GB fanfilm. But if they do go up for sale then ill put a message in the for sale section of this board.

Im going to be doing some more work tonight and ill update with some new pics too…

Lawrence,

Cool stuff!

What thickness MDF did you use for the Spacer?

Thats a cool way of putting it together, I would never have thought of something so simple as two piece.

I used hardboard (not sure what its called in the states) which is 1/8th thick and quite flexible. It has a textured side and a flat side. I bent against the textured side to have the flat side showing. It will be sanded to look the same as the separate pieces before the cosmetic plates are added. the tighter curve at the top has now been filled with styrene as the wood would have broken at that radius. I wil add some mor epics later tonight.

Just thought id add some pics of whats been done. There is at least 10 of everything. some parts ranging into the teens (we got a little carried away)

Some unfinished Ion Arms, Gun Box’s and powercell’s:

I know the booster tube looks a little over sized but it will be inset then “welded” to the EDA to achieve the correct proportions.

Its good having the input of a professional and not spending most of your time thinking up ways of how to accomplish things

Nice! You can cut circles for the cyclotron if you feel like it.

can anyone else see them ringing their hands and cash register dollars signs in their eyes? Ahhh…i’m jealous to the nth degree.
