Ok guys,
Having an issue with my game. My 360 is not old at all, not even a year yet. I bought it before the launch of the game last year before the game was pushed back. September I think it was. Anyways, DMC4 plays fine as does re5 and portal. Load time on my game is also about 30 seconds from when I die(which happens all the time thanks to the lag). Spots that cause issues, the water coming towards me when the floor is flooded by the fishing ghost, water running down the stairs, stay puft minions in the drafting room, book bats(always), fight with library ghost when she is surrounded by books. I know that the engine on gb is insane, but noone else seems to be having these issues. So what could it be?
Bad disc?
Bad 360?
TV on 120 hz?
To describe the lagging, think back to when the nes would slow down when playing, that is what it is like. When it comes back I am dead… I also am experiencing a ton of tears, not sure if that is normal either. Hope it is not my 360, and hope if it is the game, gamestop will take a return.

ps, the spoilers only go up till the fight with the grey lady for those of you concerned, and they are just descriptions of the fights and spots that cause issues.
I didnt have any of those issues in those spots, but last night I installed the game onto the 360 HD and that should speed up some load times and stuff and may help the game play faster. I’ll let you know how it runs after I get home from work.
I only have a 20 gig hdd. Any idea how much space this takes up? I would love to install it rather than wait for the load times. I should upgrade my hdd…
The game would be about 6gb
I installed the game to my hard drive before I even played it and I have not experienced any sort of lag at all. It runs beautifully!
Xbox 360 discs top out at 9 gig capacity. No game will be over that (unless of course its a multiple disc game)
returned the game and it worked fine. installed to my hdd and it works even better. lagging is gone now, but it wasnt there when playing from disc either.
I’ve not noticed any in game lag, but on the not prerendered cut scenes, the lip sync slowly gets more and more out of time with the sound. It’s not in all cut scenes, specifically though the ones in the firehouse (ie the interview and walter peck reveal scene.) Is anyone else having that issue, or would installing it on my HD stop that from happening?
I haven’t noticed any lip-sync issues, although I haven’t really been looking for them. If you have the space to spare I would recommend installing to the HD anyway… Saves the DVD drive from working so hard, cuts way down on the noise the thing makes as well.
Sometimes your Xbox360 can get slow. This is because of piled up cache dump. So you should clean the cache out from time to time. You can do this by going into the System blade and selecting memory. Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?
Note: This will also delete certain software updates. Though those can be easily redownloaded quickly. You should get update requests when starting a game anyway.
