Ok so Im thinking that Ill start off simple with some building, just to get a hang of it before I go big.
In GB1 is there a name for the thing Peter is “sniffing” around in Dana’s apartment? Also, any idea what the lable thats facing out says? Im sure I could build something close to that with a pistol box, blood pressure cuff and a couple miscolaneous items.
Also… the device Ray is using on Vego in GBII (the chrome/silver, almost paint brush looking thin)… is there a name for that? Ill have to go back and watch the movie, just wondering though if anyone knows off hand, is he spinning it manually or was it mechanical?

As far as the sniffer, I gatta say… modern technology is great. The air quality and gas meters we use at work today are about the size of an orignal gameboy. Could hardly imagine lugging that thing around. Not that its probably heavy, just unnesecary.
On the Globuscope, am I to assume the camera switch activates the spinning motion? There isnt any text on it, just the name and pic so Im not sure.
No worries…the info is kinda hidden away on the movies pages, so overlooking it is quite understandable.
I’ve never held a Globuscope personally, so I can’t confirm your question re: the switch, although I obviously assume that’s correct. The thing is actually made for panoramic photography, so the remote would allow it to be set down on a stationary surface while the picture is snapped, rotating w/o extraneous movement. So naturally, if the remote was taken off, the shutter button would be right there, and pressing it would initiate the same (spinning) action.
So the Globuscope is an actual device also? I get that its for photography but any idea what it does? Ive never seen anything like it, just thought it was made for the movie.
Yes, the Globuscope is a 360 degree panoramic camera. Pushing the button lets the camera make 1 full revolution. The internal mechanism pulls fresh film across the slot as it rotates, producing a long panoramic photo.
Kingpin is right - if you want one, be prepared to spend upwards of a couple grand for one in good shape, as they are no longer produced !
