Greetings GBF forum folks. I’ve been lurking for a while and actually applied almost a year ago after Dragoncon 2011. I’ve been interested in building a full GB costume for a while. Actually ever since I was mistaken for a janitor in my poor attempt at a Ghostbuster in Junior High. But now I’m older and have a few more tools and talents at my disposal. I had every intention of building a pack for Dragoncon 2012 then my job fell through and I was left job searching, luckily I found one. Now I’m packing for a move. Dragon*con was already paid for so we went, and I even wore the jumpsuit and patch my niece and nephews got for me for Christmas. (I said I was off-duty) But without the pack I still heard “Are you a janitor” ringing in my ears. Now I want to do this right.
I’ve pretty much decided on the style of vacu-form table I want to build, and I’ve poured over various discussions and videos of folks builds. I’m really anxious to get started and I was also excited to see that there’s a group where I’m headed, Dayton OH. Once I start putting the table and then constructing molds I’ll post about the Good, Bad, and Ugly of the process.
