about this for a bumper?

so as im running closer to halloween im becoming more creative with the shit ihavent done yet…for the bumper i saw some rubber weather stripping that was about the right size at home depot…i was thinking shape with with a strip of sheet metal…then glue on the rubber on top…anyone know what the best thing to glue rubber to metal is? i dont want it flapping off in middle of the night lol

try epoxy, that usually works very well, just make sure you have something to hold it down while it’s curing.

i dunno how i would do that as it is a long C shaped thing lol…

how about masking tape in the key areas you feel it should be clamped by the tape.

Perhaps make relief cuts where you have to bend it down on the sides and fill in those “V” shapes using fiberglass bondo. Its messy but can be shaped down if you have the proper tools.

Don’t forget, the bumper needs to be screwed to the pack anyway, so if you screw through the rubber and use washers to spread the load, the rubber won’t be going anywhere, no matter how much of a kicking it takes!

use goop, it’s super strong and flexible, and if you breathe it in, you’ll get a trip to the hospital to boot.
