Hey everyone. I understand that the acrylic tube size should be 7/8” which equals to be 22.225 mm.
The only sizes I can find on eBay that are similar in length is either 20mm or 25mm.
Would it be okay with the non exact size?

yo that’s an awesome find, especially since I’m in Canada. Unfortunately the shipping cost kills it being decently priced.
I’m guessing this means that 20mm wouldn’t work?
Ya I had to end up going with this because it was the only cheapest way to get one, it cost me $13.99 for shipping which is not bad, I would have loved to have ordered one from here but shipping times and conversion would have put me in the whole for the rest of my build, If you are in Canada this etsy one is most likely your best price you will get.
I see. I’ll keep that as an option for now and will try a 20mm one from ebay.
20mm vs 22.225mm. If that small reduction in size looks bad I’ll bite the bullet and go with the etsy one
Just had a look at these etsy-tubes, they seem fine with the sought-after diameter, but… i’m worried a bit by the wall-thickness; or to be more precise - the lack of it. Since the difference between inner and outer diameter appears to be less than 4 mm, there’s less than 2 mm each wall. This i would consinder as too thin and maybe problematic; aside from general brittleness - especially when you may want to go for a bit of bevel at the very end of the tip, or get agressive when sanding is choosen as method to do the frostings. 
I mean… take a look at the REAL DEAL: they were pretty thick - maybe more like (wild quessing here, but see for yourself) 4mm wallstrength EACH or so.

For my own scratchbuild thrower, i went with a 25mm acrylic, that has a bit more than 20mm inner dia, so there’s actually 2.anything wallsize, I’m not too pleased with it (i’d rather have it to be like 3 or even 4), but it was still the closest i could get by now - i would really appreciate a proper replacement for it, but these etsy tubes, won’t nail it straight away i’m afraid.

how did the 25mm look from the outside though? did it look too big?
Well - that depends on the beholders perspective, but i would say: yes, of course. But on the other hand - i would also say: the 20mm look too small as well.
So it’s a bit of a question of personal taste - BUT (yes …i know, there’s just no simple answer to the “which one ist best”-question 
) … this is applicable for a scratchbuild wand - so you’d be able to adjust or choose the diameters of the corresponding parts, so they wold fit well.
In the case you are bulding specific wand-set or kit, then maybe the measurements are to be exspected (well… in case it’s a pretty well made kit) to be based on the original 7/8" tube, so it will be tricky to get an oversized tube installed properly. Therefore it might be easier, to choose an undersized acrylic tube and add/wrap some layers of material around it, to make it fit to the barrel well.
Hmm…I will have to see through my build-images, maybe there’s a suitable pic i could post, for comparison on how a 25mm tube might actually look like with a wand…
