I received my alice frame last week and it looks like the width is bigger than that of my pack. On pix on this site it looks like it shouldn’t be? what are your opinions? I always thought there was only 1 frame size.
how bad does it stick out? pictures and more info are needed in this case.
there is only one size alice pack frame. if you have an exoray V71 or a shell built to stefans plans, the pack should be somewhat visible on both sides. The injector tubes hide the frame on one side of the pack and when the motherboard is attached, it completely hides it on the other side(under the gun mount block). The very bottom corners of the frame are always visible on the bottom of the pack next to the cyclotron.
the pack should be a little wider, not a ton, but it is wider.
The frame is wider by more than an inch than the actual pack, the exposed portion being covered up by the booster tubes… Just like Vinny has already said.
I guess if you don’t consider the top of the pack to count as “being wider” then sure.
It does get narrower than the pack, but at the top it is wider. So overall - it is wider.
Really depends on the context of what he’s describing I guess - if he means that some of it is showing, well yeah, that’s fine.
If he means that the frame is completely wider than the pack in all places - well that’s wrong, the top of the frame is covered fully, with a bit to spare…
