I’m working on fine tuning my pack reworking some areas. One area in particular is the N-Filter. Since I finished building my pack I’ve always wanted to go back and redo this part specifically. I’m a huge fan of the vent feature and this was something I’ve always wanted to add onto my pack.
Now that my pack is overall finished I’d like to add the vent feature in. However, other than the e-Cig kit that I see for sale on the forum I was wondering if anyone knows of any alternative or make-your-own options?
I think the E-Cig option is really the best way to go and gives one of the better venting/smoke effects I have seen.
I have also seen people use the upside down compressed air can method as well. Though this method requires a lot more room in your shell, is heavier, more difficult to set up and is potentially harmful to people that may be around when you vent vs. the E-Cig method.
I recently purchased the e-cig kit from jimfin and although I don’t know of any other kits, I can’t help but feel like his is the best option you can get for venting. It’s VERY affordable, extraordinarily easy to install, and works perfectly.
The ONLY con to this kit is that i don’t know of a way to refill it without having to open up the shell. The only thing that could make this kit better is a way to install it so you can refill it without separating the shell and motherboard.
