Have you picked up your AMT Ecto-1a Model yet? Its now available in the GBFans Shop!

We have setup a forum specifically for showing off your model builds called the “AMT Ecto-1a Group Build” forum. We are asking that everyone that has one of these kits to build creates a new thread with pictures taken during their model making process. We will be holding a contest in July / August that will reward those with the most accurate build, most creative build, and most helpful build thread.

So start building! And share your progress along the way!

im gonna post my progress but i know i will not win cause there are many on this site that are way more talented than I. I can’t wait to see how everyone does.

Oh man bad timing… too busy trying to finish my pack off for August, so unfortunately I won’t be participating. I should probably also get round to finishing off my Polar Lights Ecto 1 as well!

I haven’t purchased one of these from GBfans, but I have one that I am working on, can i enter the contest? When do we have to start the thread, and when is the deadline to close the build thread?

Love to enter, but I built mine years ago and I specifically changed the door logos to the Original no-ghost (cause really, the 2 fingers just looks dumb)

I do have some progress pics and a detailed interior!

I saw those on ebay a few weeks ago. I didn’t know there was 3 versions though.

I recently finished my ecto1a model and sometime in the future, i will be posting some production photos and also a few of the finished product.
