So I will admit I have done no homework fabout the new ghostbusters coming out. Im just wondering…how many of you on here after finally getting the old packs perfect, to such an incredible art and accuracy are ready to start making completely new packs styled to whatever they look like now.
And how many here are nostalgic and not willing or ready to make the change.
I really hope they keep the traditional packs with just a few upgrades. Maybe something similar to the video game packs.
It depends on how cool they are and how they’re used in the movies.
I think it’ll probably be seen like the slime blower after Ghostbusters 2 and the video game packs. really cool but no replacement for the original.
I wonder how many of us will sit around like old men complaining about those kids and they’re new fangled proton packs…“when I was his age we were lucky to have a cardboard tube with a box around it” or “yeah he"s one of the “new school” ghostbusters, theyre not cool like we were”
I still prefer the GB1 pack over anything.

In my day we didn’t know about clippard valves. We used film canisters with “White Out” caps glued on top. There was no internet then…no way to search such things. My first pack as an adult (my kid one was a backpack with a distributor cap and a plug wire connecting that to a TV antenna) was almost completely all wood because forms were not around. I even have the cake pan cyclotorn
Ive seen some pieced together builds that look just as good as fiberglass molds. Its amazing what people come up with sometimes using what most see as junk.

I’m with Chace when I came around I got to see the first time Norm posted his plans. We went nuts over them. To this day I still love Norms plans. I miss the old days a bit.
Ditto. It was a lot of work to move away from bicycle grips for thrower grips.
Everyone should build a norm pack. It’s funny to me there are people are so incapable of working on a shell; when all the hard work is done for them.
If you’re looking for what the next generation proton pack will look like, there are in the Sanctum of Slime Game. The four new Ghostbusters use newer versions of the proton packs, but keep the same similar design. Come to think of it, could Alan, Samuel, Gabriel and Bridget be the next generation Ghostbusters characters in GB3?
