Another Hello thread

Greetings to everyone here!

I’m a 21-year-old from Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada. A friend of mine just let me know about this site. It’s great to know there are so many other fans out there!

I’m pretty sure I’ve known about Ghostbusters since I was old enough to watch movies; my Dad made sure of that. As I’ve grown up I’ve begun to see what a classic it is and how unique of a work it is. Recently I made sure to buy Ghostbusters 1 on Blu-Ray and Ghostbusters the Game on PS3. Seems a rather small collection, actually.

In any case, I’m glad to be here. Looking forward to being part of the community.

Hey Varmint, welcome to the boards! I only have both movies on DVD so not a big collection for me either but I’m looking at expanding it with the RGB complete series box and then at somepoint start building my own proton pack. I actually got a hot wheels Ecto-1 just of ebay for my almost two year old son so I’ll be teaching him like your dad thought you :).

Welcome to the threads.

I definitely have that dream. I don’t exactly have the tools or the talent at this point, but I think it has more to do with the time and the money. Definitely a dream, though. I’m also in the “dream” stage of looking at magnetic decals and roof equipment like the Ecto-1’s for my truck…

Anyways, looks like a great community so far, I think I like what I see.

Welcome! Well, with the GB’s it’s “Tools and Talent” and with prop builders it’s time, money and skill. Skill can save you time and maybe money. Your average builder (that’s me) either has to spend time (like fabricating from scratch) or money (buying pre-made resin parts) to make props.
