Anyone have High Quality Photos of Sanyo ICC 808D?

The topic really says it all - I’m looking for high resolution clear photos of the circuit board - so I can identify the components and hopefully make some size comparisons for a replica.

Thought someone on here might have this hard to find part of the costume…

If I succeed in making a replica, you’ll be the first to know

I hope this works for you!

I also have this Minolta Minolcom, you might be interested in. I actually had the same idea as you, to start replicating it from scratch.

That’s a very good start! Thank you

I’m actually trying to contact Sanyo too.. too see if they can send me any specs or anything…

What happened to the nixies on the Sanyo?

Hey, thanks for the pics. I always wanted to see one up close.

I don’t know, I also found these on the net somewhere, but it could be that they were a seperate piece or that they used another system. But as you can see both pics are fairly identical otherwise.

ah, thought it might have been yours

If only I were so lucky :sigh:

That is my next project!!!

This is the one I personally own. If you would like I could take one with a ruler or such in the picture for reference.

You know, when I look at those nixies I think of clear pen tubes (the casing, not the tube that actually holds the ink) or even clear pen caps. While at Wal-Mart I also saw clear Christmas light bulbs that reminded me of them as well. I’m new at this so I haven’t had time to do a lot of research but just thought I’d throw those ideas out there and get some alternative ideas going.

I would love it if you could do that. Especially if you could take one in profile too (from the side, so I can get an idea of the depth of the components). That would be freaking awesome!

p.s. - you lucky git

Actually you can pick up nixies in bulk pretty cheap from people in East Europe. There’s a lot of old soviet era nixies just lying around in warehouses pretty much. But without knowing the size of the nixies… or their make/model it’s hard to find ones that would be right

I’d also like to see those pictures with a ruler. That’d be great.

You can also pick up nixies on Ebay, I think.

Alright sorry for the delay but this has been the only night I don’t have to write a paper or work.

This is a Sanyo Model ICC-802D note the broken Nixie Its the reason I got it for so cheap to bad the owner didn’t know what it was worth broken.

Edited once for an assumption then again for spelling

Thanks a bunch, man. Those pics are great! :crunch:

This is **NOT **a real one, it’s Playskool’s scratch built reproduction…

Thanks Exoray I fixed it in the original post

I was under the assumption that that was a real calculator he did a damn good job on it because it looks far from scratch built. Enough to trick me.

Not a problem just wanted to clarify the fact… And yes it’s a damn good reproduction, not perfect but close enough to fool everyone except a small handful…

It tricked me.
