I haven’t reserved my copies yet cuz I am kinda holding out for a special edition. Wasn’t there some talk about having one? Or would a special edition be announced by now? or later?
The special edition would’ve been announced when the game was announced.
For example when Modern Warfare 2 was placed in the GameStop PCs, so was the Collectors Edition; same with Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, and Batman.
Right now there looks to be no collectors edition.
Amazon does have a listing for a collectors edition- Amazon.co.uk at least in the uk site it does.

So it’s the same price as the regular edition? That’s impossible. Collectors Editions are usually $10-$25 MORE then retail price. I checked on the US Amazon, and Gamestop. Nothing is listed for a Special/Collectors Edition.
Side note: If anyone cares the images for the GB Wristband and Belt Buckle are up on GS.com, too.
actually the regular edition is 7 pounds cheaper, bout ten dollars, just saying its odd they have 2 sku’s on there
In all actuality the pre-order bonuses so far are almost equivlant to a special edition, which is pretty cool in my opinion. As far as American Special Editions, none have been announced. However, I would like it noted that Batman: Arkham Asylum’s collector’s edition was announced late, there is still hope.
As for the UK edition with a price different of seven pounds, don’t sound very special.
I went ahead a pre-ordered after the Gamestop employee assured me that if a special edition is announced, I could simply switch my pre-order money over to it.
Thats what I thought. I know some other games SE have been announced late too. Just cant think of them.
That’s about $10-$15 difference isn’t it? That’s about right for a special edition here I would think.
Up it to 20 or 30 dollars, then yes. And as there is no show for what is included, or box art for a special edition I’m willing to bet it’s not. No matter what it’s labled.
Untill more information is revealed, I’m sticking by it not being a collector’s edition.
unless your getting Batman Arkham Asylum Collector’s Edition. Then its like $40+ extra. The CE for the game is $99.99…it better include a key to the batcave and batmobile for $100
And a full size batarang.

I think the Batman one does come with a batarang… The cool thing about special editions is that you can usually find them clearanced cheaper than the “standard” game after a couple of months. I got Rainbow Six Vegas 2 LE for $30 when the regular edition was still selling for $60!
Not think, it does come with a batarang. And it’s actually pretty big.
