Actually, the whole thing with the propane truck by a elementary school would make me laugh.. Sorry but the children of my neighborhood have given me a not-so-harbored hatred of children, Lol.
If only I had a digital video camera.
I think that if it happened while they were at home, the kids would probably be overjoyed. It reminds me of an old Calvin and Hobbs where Calvin is daydreaming in class about blowing up the school.
By that you mean a 3CCD cam that has a 24p mode(24 frames a second, like a movie camera), right? I just wanted to make sure you didn’t overlook that detail in the link; not just any old DVcam will do (you probably already knew that; I just wanted to make sure).
Anyway, I wish I could help with the scene myself, but I don’t have access to a 3CCD camera. My brother-in-law’s cousin used to have an XL2, but he had to sell it because he realized that he spent way too much money on it (more than his budget could really allow). Who knows, though, Maybe sometime durring the next few months I’ll be able to borrow one from someone. Hopefully.
3CCD cameras are extremely expensive.. mine will prob do high enough quality.. the lighting is what is really important.
True, but Braxtan seems to want good lighting and a high-rez camera used in the entries.
Well.. I highly doubt anyone here has the kind of camera that will produce the quality really wanted. I can do pretty good 640x480 fully digital video on my digital camera.. very good quality.. but still not like.. amazing quality.
Read the specs on it.. only 12fps.

Perhaps no one here has a 3CCD camera, but I’m sure they’re not just looking here. They’re looking anywhere they can. Anyway, there’s probably a good reason that they need the clip to be shot with a high-end 3CCD: they’re probably shooting the rest of the movie with one. It wouldn’t look right to have a crisp, high-rez picture for most of the movie, and then to suddenly have it cut to a grainy, lesser-quality clip done by a home camcorder or digital camera (trust me, it would be a rather jolting transition).
You can get some pretty decent stuff with cheaper cameras, but even with the best lighting, the quality will pale in comparison to an equally well-lit video done with a high-end camera. Of course, on the other hand, a $4,000 DV camera doesn’t guarantee a good picture if the user doesn’t know how to light and frame a movie (just like paying $5,000 for some really nice CG software won’t magically give you the ability to create super-realistic 3D models if you don’t have the talent).

I’ve got a Canon XL1 and a Sony VX1000. They’re both a little older but decent 3ccd cameras. But I don’t think either one has 24 frame a second capabilities nor 16x9… The only problem is I just bought a new computer and don’t have any editing software or a video card yet. I hope to before September though.
