Hey guys for those of you who did not catch my intro… My name is Todd, and for the past 4-5 Years I have been heavily into the Michael Myers masks/costuming world. I was a MOD on www.wickidmasks.com aka. (WMP) Chris Morgan runs/operates/and makes the masks on that site, one of the best in the business when it comes to Myers masks “That is my personal opinion of course” He is also a very close friend of mine and a super great guy! I still have a passion for Michael Myers masks and always will but right now i’m just getting burnt out on it… Which is what led me to this site… I’ve always loved GB since I was just a wee little kid and have always dreamed of putting together a decent replica GB costume complete with proton pack… I will have a few updates on my GB costume here within the next few weeks here and just took the Proton pack challenge and started a scratch build myself… Everyone here seems like they are sticklers for detail and that’s perfect for me because when it came to my Myers costumes I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night sometimes if a single detail was off… This will be my first GB costume so i’m sure it wont be 100% screen accurate so please bear with me as I build it! I accept any constructive criticism but please don’t be rude when the time comes to post up my GB costume build! Enough about the GB costume and on with the Myers collection! Feel free to ask me any questions about any of my masks/costumes and ill be happy to answer any questions/or if your looking to buy your first mask ill be more than glad to lead you in the right direction as well!
HERE is my personal favorite/best original 1978 HalloweeN mask… Its my Vintage 75 Made by Chris Morgan at (WMP)
Here is another favorite piece of mine from Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers… This was made by a company called Nightowl Productions poured off a screenused mold… I wasn’t thrilled with the Hair/Paint scheme on it and had Chris Morgan Overhaul/Re-do and he is the KING of H6 Paint-ups!
Last but not least is my second favorite mask in the whole entire HalloweeN franchise which would be Halloween H20: 20 Years later… This mask is a (WMP) Seven 2.0 and is my most recent score from Chris Morgan… He really outdid himself on it! I will let the pics do the talking on this one!
These are just a few outta the million pics I have accrued and deff will post up some more worn pics once I sift through them all and post up the best ones! Thanks for checking these out guys!
Yes you are absolutely correct the 1978 Mask was a 1975 Capt. Kirk mask. With the eyes cut bigger, painted pale fish belly white and the hair was messed with… They actually haven’t done the Kirk mask since Part 1 and 2 since the rights to Shatners likeness belong to Trancas who only produced the 1st film… Plus they are EXTREMELY rare to find in mint condition nowadays most of them the latex has melted away and the few mint ones out there are fetching prices up to 30K $$$ so most people settle for a replica… A few masks are clay pressed off of the original Kirk mask though and that’s about as close as you will get to an original nowadays… All the latter films were there own sculpt/mask just fashioned to look as similar as possible to the original as they legally can get…
Awesome. When you look at a true sculpt you can see it was Shatner. I got one for my 40th b-day last year Trick or Treat Studios I believe is who made it and looking closer at it you can see it is Kirk.
The Trick or treat studio is the best mass produced Myers mask on the market… I have one as well but its chump change on the ones Ive bought over the years… I spent 350$ on my Vintage 75 and that was sculpted over a Shatner lifecast which is the same way the HERO was made… Trick or treat studios just came out with a ton more Myers masks check out there site when you get some free time! There really great masks for the money but my only gripe is that there mass produced so you don’t get a choice on size, weathering, hair choice, etc… www.trickortreatstudios.com
Besides DVDs, posters, and other memorabilia… I have quite a few RGB toys along with EGB as well… A few Matty collector figs as well… Besides masks I really only ever bought matching coveralls and replica knives as well lol
JA slow I actually made both of those pumpkins out of a craft pumpkin! I can basically do any design anyone chooses! I used to sell them through my horror sites if your interested in one hit me up man I have about 6 blank pumpkins waiting to be carved into whatever anyones heart desire!
I’ve been a horror nut since I was 5 years old watching Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney, Price, Lee, Cushing. Got a little older and it was Freddy, Michael, Bubba, Jason. Can’t really dig much of the horror that is out now. Except for Dead Snow.
Redfive1973 You should check out Springwood Slasher forums the people on that site have some of the best Freddy costumes I’ve ever seen! The silicone masks they make for Freddy fans are crazy realistic but cost a small fortune! But man oh man are they so life like looking they fit on your face like a second skin and any facial expressions you make the silicone mimics and moves with you! Someday I will own but right now all my time is being consumed by my new GB fascination lol I have acquired a good bit of items for my uniform and pack and once I start getting trucking on putting it all together I will be posting pics and tutorials on how I did it! This site is great for information on anything GB and everyone has been very welcoming so far! I normally just creep on the boards before and read read read as much as I can…
Cool deal. I’ll check them out. Yeah read as much as you can and if ya can’t find it ask. Folks on the board are super cool. Learned a lot in just the short time I have been on here and am working on my own pack in time for Dragon. Never thought I would try my hand at a pack but it really is not as hard as I once thought. Just got to be patient.
Along similar lines as TC, I have my own small collection of Jason Voorhees hockey masks. I’ve always been a sucker for Jason out of the big horror icons. I only have three so far but I plan on having just about every version from every movie by the time it’s all said and done. The ones I have would be two customs - one that is just a regular version hockey but doused in blood and black bile (and signed by Kane Hodder and Derek Mears!) and another that I refer to as a Legacy mask in that it looks like what his mask would look like after years of wearing it. The third mask is the original from Part 3. My go to hock mask supplier is Cryptkeeper 9, they have great stuff for fair prices.
I love horror flicks. My room is mostly dominated with horror memorabilia followed by GB stuff.
