I had 2 experiences when I was a teenager which I thought were “very rare but normal” and just happened sometimes in life.
Growing up into an adult (and never having had a repeat experience) I realised that they were not as normal as my teenage mind believed and would be classified as paranormal.
They taught me that if something genuinely unexplainable (actually) happens to you, your first instinct is to be very quiet about it, instead of shouting about it from rooftops.
Unless you are a child, when an adult makes paranormal claims the only line of questioning is usually psychological health. That discovery (that your first instinct is to -not- tell everyone) was what surprised me the most. Extrapolating that to society, how many people must there be with (actual) scientifically unexplainable experiences?
On another note, the OP may (or may not) have interest in this:
I believe in such things. Sometimes I have dreams about the future ( I mean some things which firstly appear only in my dreams, later appear in the real life). It’s a little bit strange, but cool. When I’m in a some situation, and I know what words would be spoken next, or simply have a strange feeling of déjà vu. I believe that many people have such dreams, and it’s quite paranormal.
I have had some crazy things happen to me also. Things I can’t explain! So ya I believe their are things that we can’t understand or maybe we just aren’t supposed you know own.
Um. I don’t know what’s more odd. That buddy here is bragging about owning human teeth, bodies, skulls and wearing a dead persons skin over his body OR… that nobody here questioned him on it.
I realize this post is about 6 years old but god damn. Double You Tee Eph!
Be a septic, but also keep an opened mind. There are things that can be easily explained, however there are also things that just make you scratch your head and wonder what the hell is going on.
I’ll give you an example, I was staying one night in my camper trailer when something odd happened. I’m sitting on my bed when my light above the table fads out. I figure, since it’s solar, it didn’t get enough charge.
Then the light above my bed went out, then the light in the center of the camper almost went out.
Out of curiosity, and since I just happen to have it with me, I took out my EMF Meter and got a maximum reading beside me on my bed. The Camper isn’t anywhere near a electrical Pole or anything else that could produce a high level of EMF and I certainly don’t have anything in the mattress or under the bed that could produce that much EMF.
This lasted a few minutes. Then the light above the table came back on as bright as before followed by the light above my bed and finally the light in the center. The EMF read zero.
Now, I’m not saying it was a Ghost. But it was definitely something that left me scratching my head and wondering what the hell was going on.
I’m a bit fenced, honestly. As a kid, I can distinctly remember times when I’d swear I could hear someone calling my name but nobody had whenever I’d ask them a moment later, and could also swear that I was hearing clips of music playing in the house whenever it was completely quiet. No radio on, no CDs playing, nothing. Just this ghostly sort of whisper of a line or two of a song. As an adult, I don’t notice the music playing out of nowhere much if any anymore, but sometimes I’ll still swear people are calling my name when they haven’t. I chalk it up to someone saying something that sounds like my name and I overhear and misinterpret it. I also sometimes get weird vibes from new places I visit, but a lot factors into that. What kinda place is it? Is it a retailer, food venue, doctor’s office, etc? Where is it located? Good neighborhood or somewhere seedy? Is the building old or new, and if it’s old, is the wiring old too? Who’s working there and how do they present themselves? So I guess that’s all to say, instinct kicks in and makes me hyper-aware of my surroundings (as it’s meant to do).
And as for seeing things I can’t explain… I can’t say that I’ve seen anything out of the ordinary whatsoever. I’ve even been in places sworn to be haunted more than once. Nothing. I lean far more into the idea that science can and will eventually explain all the strange things we currently have no explanations for. Even things like faucets turning off and on by themselves, or feeling a strange chill when no AC or fans are on, or seeing a shadow or figure present. After all, what is science but explaining things in the natural world and how they work? And really, what a cool day it’ll be when the paranormal/supernatural have explanations!
Tell you what, though… Next time someone says they degloved someone and posts pics, I’m not pressing that Show Spoiler button. Then again, what the hell was I expecting?
Well at least somebody else has noticed. The fact that this “is the paranormal real” conversation is going on around this weird ass post about someone claiming to have worn human skin…it’s pretty odd lol.

There was an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation where one of the team had to wear a murder victim’s finger skin so they could fingerprint it, it’s probably not as weird or as uncommon as it might first seem.
In a lot of places its not illegal to own real human remains. As long as there’s strict adherence to the laws that allow it. Some examples being that it’s not recovered from protected lands or originating from a crime, ongoing investigation and so on. I’d suggest looking into the subject. It can be quite interesting considering a lot of cultures include practices that involve human remains.
As for the subject surrounding the supernatural I am typically a skeptic. I’ve grown incredibly non-theistic since my early childhood and have found that I am very tired of “supernatural” explanations surrounding the science behind how our world and bodies work. Its easy to pass things off as something unexplainable but given the time and age we live in, most things we use and do now would of had us burned at the stake in the 1700-1800s. Thanks to science we can now explain many things that would have been considered “paranormal” back then. Advances in mental health being a big one. Does this mean I don’t believe? Not necessarily. I believe that YOU believe you saw something. I can’t prove anyone’s experience, and in most cases neither can they aside from a retelling of the experience.
Of course there is a bunch of stuff we don’t know and I think a healthy amount of skepticism is needed to be able to dig deeper and still be able to maintain a focus on the reality. Not to be “disappointed” so to speak. I think as humans we tend to give support to a supernatural cause because we want there to be something on the other side. In our seemingly boundless quest for knowledge its absolutely understandable that the subject of some form of existence after this life is sought after. Proof be damned, some insist that there really is something. Because of that I will always ask: “What if there isn’t?”
Interestingly enough there are actual legal cases where ghosts have been involved. Including one finding where a ghost aided in convicting their own suspected murderer. Check out Legal Eagle’s recent video about it!
