Finally got my hands on a Sanyo ICC-802D; and it still works! 
Does anyone know of a build journal for one of these guys? There are some amazing belt gizmos on this forum, but I only find builds that do not involve the original Sanyo. Bonus points for information on anyone actually keeping a running display.
How did you get on with your gizmo build. I too have just managed to purchase two ICC-802D’s for a very good price. Would be interested to see a previous build from one.
Not sure, but I just picked up a. Sanyo ICC 82D and although slightly bigger it will definitely give it the feel. Trying to explore how to get the nixies running without the key pad wiring OR chase lighting with an Audrino Nano on the daughter board of some sort.
