I would like to see, if its not overly difficult,the addition of a warning link or the like, added to the log on or cover page of the site due to the recent increase of poor new guys screwing themselves unknowingly . . only to realise a week after signing up and snooping around the forums that they did so . . . Not only would it double the chances of even the most casual user seeing it before they purchase from ebay . . But direct the support of these new folks to where it counts . . This community. Just my 2 cents . . Thanks
While I think it sucks that people can get screwed over by blacklisted sellers, I don’t think adding a popup or banner on the log in or anywhere would do much of anything. By the time people find GBFans and actually take the time to look around, they’ve already dropped a boatload of cash on crap parts from crap sellers.
My personal opinion is, if you’re going to toss a bunch of money at someone without spending 30 seconds to Google their name, you more or less deserve it. I guarantee that they will be more circumspect the next time around.
