this is my first proton pack i ever made. i just went to my dads junk yard and picked up anything that looked good. For the round thing with the red circles i used top-a-ware, and for the electronics things i opened a vcr and took its components. Theres even a flash light in there along with door bell components. for the gun i used a walkie talkie holder and a large lego to make the shape. of course i covered the lego with sheet metal. Then i took a meter from a home stereo and put a heat sync and some buttons and lights. I used a mongoose bike handles for the gun handles. for the uniform i went to a thrift shop and bought it for $5. i went to school like this for halloween and everyone loved it.
I like your gun, actually. Not bad work for a “spare parts” prop. I also sort of like the detail you have on the center of your cyclotron band (what was it, anyway?) . As for the rest of it, it does convey the idea of a proton pack, although I’ve never personally been a big fan of using computer cards or circuit boards on a pack.
Overall, I’d say it looks pretty good for a first attempt.
