Call me stupid, eh? Look who's stupid now...

GB:TVG IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PS4!

You seriously waited three months to come back for this?

Sheesh.

Just give it up already, dude.

I’m feeling embarrassed for you.

Stilling playing online on my XBOX.

Also, anyone that knows anything about videogames knows that the newer systems are getting away from disc drives and stepping into massive HD storage along with the cloud.

Why would they do this?

To put companies like gamestop out of the picture.

It started with “online passes” to make you want a new copy.

The simple fact is used games sales help one company only… Gamestop.

You buy a new game, don’t like it, trade it in for $8, then Gamestop turns around and sells it for $55.

Effectively screwing everyone.

Game developers are done with it.

Good news, games may get back down to the $40 or maybe even $30 pricetag.

Actually most new games re-sell for 25-30. ALSO the reason why we offer ‘little’ trade in credit is because we offer cash.

We remove the cash factor and we’ll be able to offer more trade-in credit, but I don’t forsee that happening which is a shame.

Don’t blame the company, blame the sleezeballs who trade in stolen goods for cash.

Also that “GAMES WERE CHEAPER BACK THEN!!11” line? Yeah. That’s bullshit.

Whoa man, what’s that? MADDEN 1997 FOR $60???

Source: I’ve got a job there! Yes, hate me if you like, but Gamestop isn’t as God awful as Kotaku makes everyone think.

I don’t hate gamestop but trade in or not only they benifit from that.

I don’t know how you guys handle it at your store but anyone suspected of stealing games and reselling g them is reported to the police at the stores by me.

Quite a few time I’ve been there police are there collecting evidence.

When I say cheaper game prices I mean like the Dreamcast..

$39.99-$49.99.

Oh we report them to the police too. We’re not stupid. However denying/taking the trade-in is difficult. Sometimes it’s ridiculously easy to spot a stolen good; other times not so much.

I don’t buy new games.

But changes are.. I won’t buy a new console either.

I believe people took umbrage with your assertion that a petition to Atari would change the fact that the systems are not backwards compatible. I believe they took that position because Atari does not care about this franchise, has no intention of doing anything with this franchise, and because petitions rarely work.

Sorry, I don’t feel stupid.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT WE ARE YELLING ABOUT!

EDIT: I do now. Thanks, Ron.

That, that is your biggest complaint about the PS4? No GB video game. Of all the dumb things…

Oh, I was hoping gamestop would sink faster than the titanic, and never come back…

Safe to say it is still you.

In the next few years, most of the games you buy will be programmed by people in China.

  1. The fact is: GB:TVG is not compatible with PS4.

Game, set, and match.

  1. We won’t get another GB game because most likely Sony won’t take Aykroyd’s offer to make GB3.

  2. This GB:TVG message board is superflous since this game is not compatible with PS4, and probably the new xbox, and we most likely won’t get a new game.

  3. AJ Quick: If I’m still the “stupid” one then you must still be upset at the fact that I called out the “karma” system for what it is, Fascist.

Safe to say it is still you.

I don’t get it. Who here said it would be compatible? What “Elite GBFans Members” were you having a competition with? I really don’t understand what the point is you’re trying to make here. No one expects their Duck Hunt cartridge fit into a Wii, why does the new system have to play old games? Just plug in the old system if you want to play.

Uh, yeah, that and every other game on the PS3 and consoles before it. Sony’s moving towards more digital formats, so I hypothesize that the PS4 will probably have a lot of games from previous systems available for download on the new system, much like Wii’s online store or Steam, but we’ve been over this before. I won’t pretend you’ll listen now.

The debate in the last thread wasn’t a competition to see who was going to be right about it being compatible or not, it was about you thinking it was a brilliant idea to petition for one game for a system that hadn’t even been announced yet. Everyone who’s wanted the game so far has probably bought it already. There is more than just that ONE VERSION of the game. It’s not the end of the goddamn world. You want to play the PS3 version? Play it on your Playstation 3. Bam. Problem solved. Not a big frickin’ deal.

The Ghostbusters section of the forums is superfluous because we have Ghostbusters 2 is out, therefore everything before it is null and void.

Actually, all the movies are superfluous because they were originally on film and film reels aren’t compatible with DVD players.

Nope, no new content or games ever nuh uh not gonna happen

oh whoops a game that’s actually pretty fun

Please feel free to petition the White House to enact an executive order requiring console developers to re-release GBTVG on their new systems. Here is a link: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/create

Meanwhile, I will enjoy actually playing the game on my XBOX360. Which, by the way, I won’t be getting rid of in the next five years. Oh, and the WiiU? Totally plays GBTVG.

Two to one, bucko.

Can you imagine if GB:TVG was programmed in China? Halfway through the game the Proton Packs would have broken and you’d spend 2 hours with your character in line at Wal-Mart to exchange them.

I just got the PS4 and I’m playing the GBTVG just fine. I’m also playing the new sequel to GBTVG and Maaaaaan it’s good.

Did you win your PS4 on Facebook?
