Comprehensive Tobin's Spirit Guide - Online Database

[ghoulishfright]

It just occured to me that, unless I’m wrong (and tell me if I am), there really isn’t a comprehensive database anywhere, of all the different villains in the Ghostbusters universe. Like, from the films and TV shows that is.

So I just figured I’d throw out this idea…

What if someone organized an online database of ALL the different GB villains - an RPG-style Tobin’s Spirit Guide? And what if, to lessen the monumental burden of such a chore, we collectively produced all the information, text, and photos for each ghost or creature?

Does this sound like a worthwhile communal endeavor? If so, what format should each entry follow?..

Slimer

Classification: Class 5 Repeating Vapor

Appearances: Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2, The Real Ghostbusters, Slimer! And The Real Ghostbusters, Extreme Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Slimer (also Spud, also Onionhead) is a translucent green mass of a ghost, with two skinny arms, no feet, several chins, and a massive butt. Slimer’s personality is one of tremendous gluttony, being referred to as a “disgusting blob”, and exists only to eat food [or to create mischief]. The only downside to this is that the food passes right through him, which is most likely why he’s perpetually stuffing himself.

“Ghost Class” wise he is referred to as a “focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm, or a Class Five full roaming vapor”.

He is first seen haunting a room service cart on the 12th floor of the Sedgewick Hotel, and according the manager, had been there for years.

In the first Ghostbusters, Slimer was never referred to by name. He was dubbed “The Onionhead Ghost” due to the foul odor he was supposed to emit. His was officially given the name Slimer in “The Real Ghostbusters” cartoon series. The name has since stayed with the character in all further Ghostbusters related materials.

A Paranormal Database has been started at the Ghostbusters Wiki: http://ghostbusters.wikia.com/wiki/Paranormal_Database

There are also numerous entries for characters and ghosts that appeared in RGB here: http://www.gbfans.com/real-ghostbusters/characters/

oh good, so there is one already. Funny, I checked the GBFans RGB character page before and never saw all those other character links down there. Well, I feel kind of silly for posting this now, can someone delete this thread???

BTW, maybe someone should make that GB Wiki a sticky on here or some kinda link - so it’s easier to find. I think it deserves something like that…

All of GBFans is a Wiki.

There is a link in Fan Websites, but as noted a sticky of another Wiki on a message board for a Wiki is a bit counter productive to GBFans.

guess I didn’t actually know what a “wiki” was then. I see now… someone should close this thread.

You didn’t break any rules, tho you may have got some people looking at me in a not so nice way. Anyways, the concept of a Tobin Spirit Guide is something many have wanted to see happen for years.
