Hey! So I’m about to start my first proton pack. It will be a custom style and I’ve got the design finalized and all but I just realized I’m not really sure as to how to attach the pieces to the motherboard and then attach the whole assembly to an ALICE frame (I’ve based it on the dimensions of the movie packs but the overall design will be something closer the RGB pilot packs, with some of my own ideas added). Anyone have any suggestions/tips as far as adhesives and hardware to use? The materials I’ve decided to use are foam core board, corrugated plastic board, and I will be receiving a large plastic feeding pan to use as the cyclotron. What do you think?
The “shell” of the Pack is traditionally fixed to the motherboard with metal L-shaped brackets:

Other fans have used wooden mounting blocks, but these brackets are based on how the method used in the props that were made for the first two movies (and likely, Afterlife):
The A.L.I.C.E Pack frames are attached at three points: on the upright of the crossbar, and towards the base of the frame (you can just see the bolts here):

As for the materials you’re planning to use, they sound like they’ll be okay, though I would suggest MDF as an alternative, as it’d give the Pack a greater lifespan than foam board, though it will make it heavier.
