Correct me if I'm wrong- regarding Multiplayer

From what I understand, the PS3 and 360 version will NOT have a ‘local’/split screen or non-online Multiplayer…am I correct?

If so, kinda stinks you can’t play a buddy at your apartment if you have the game…Someone tell me I’m wrong

You’re wrong.

No he isn’t, there won’t be an offline co-op mode.

He wanted someone to tell him he is wrong so I did.

Truth is there is no split screen in the game because there is only one rookie. In the Wii version they decided to add a girl rookie, basically to get girls to play the game. Since they had the extra rookie they decided to add co-op.

i understand ther is no co-op in order to play thru the story, but i was talking about playing multiplayer challenges against somone on your tv using a split screen…sounds like its still a no?

that is correct. Only the PS2 and Wii version will have split screen multiplayer.

I think they could have thrown in bots so you could play through without having to play online. I got gold live but for those that don’t it would have been nice.

im sure you will be able to play off-line at home. does anyone remember ■■■■ zombies from cod waw? and you could do a private match. i think this will be totally possible mhtrtc.

That’s a good question. I do not recall anyone mentioning anything about split-screen multiplayer on the PS3/360 versions. On a similar branch of the topic I’m curious to know if they have system link multiplayer as well. I had always assumed it would be there as most games have that capability these days… but it’s never been confirmed/denied.

thanks for the input guys…i guess we’ll find out for sure soon enough

I’d imagine that it’d be possible, but really, there’s no way to be sure until either that info gets released or until the game gets released… and so we must continue to wait.

I hope so… because in the absence of Xbox live for that day I am going to resort to having a LAN party of sorts at my place. I figure it’s a good replacement until XBL is back up.

I hope so, too. One, for your sake, Dave. Two, my own selfish reasons. I have a few friends who want to do a LAN party. Normally we’d all just get online together and play, but 2 of them just bought houses and have not yet gotten their internet connections installed.
