My name is Mark Myers, myersfarms here on the forum, and for nearly 30 years I have been a creator, customizer, restorer of toys and builder of prop replicas.
As many of you know many 80’s cartoons have received a reboot or update over the years but one sadly has received nothing, The Real Ghostbusters (I am not counting Extreme Ghostbusters as that was a different team.)

My goal is to manufacture prototypes and to eventually be able to make available the pieces needed to update the originals by creating cartoon-accurate accessories and make them better than we remember!
Whether you need replacements or want to update your figures, with your help we can make it happen!
We have the talent, but now we need the tools to do the job right. That’s where you come in.
I am looking to raise $2500.00 for the purchase a number of items to be used in the creation of these pieces:
A 3D scanner for the purpose of bringing original sculpts that couldn’t otherwise be shared into a program that will allow us to make changes and corrections to the designs without damage to the original. This will also allow us to re-size the digital sculpts as well to make them suitable for any scale project.
A 3D printer and editing software for prepping the models for printing/creation. This will help to prevent wasted prints from being made, and allow us to better find errors before sending the models off to the manufacturer to be produced as a real toy would.
We would also like to have prototypes made professionally. This process will require purchasing the items as one-offs. This is expensive but once the prototypes pass through the approval process we can order in much larger quantities and pass the savings onto those who want the pieces!
