I’ve seen all the custom kenner Ecto 1’s that people have done (and have even been inspired to repaint mine) but I was wondering if anyone has ever tweaked the old Kenner Ecto 2. I saw mine when i dug my Ecto 1 out of my mom’s basement several months ago and and thought about snagging that and repainting it but then decided I never really like the Ecto 2. I could never get excited about it. But then the other day it hit me, the reason I never liked it is it didn’t look like it cam from the same family (if that makes any sense). So I’m thinking of pulling mine out of storage and giving it the Ecto 1 treatment (white, red and chrome)
Has anybody done anything like this. I’d be interested in seeing what other people have done or if anyone has any advice on taking the thing apart.
It looks like they simply took the handbar area off and used the screw holes to attach to the chair of the second one with the floor area cut down to size to fit.
Ok, so this is a rough photoshop of what I’m thinking of doing once I get my Ecto2 out of storage. Any thoughts? I’m also thinking of taking the little gun(bomb?) tat attaches to the bottom and customizing it into a a slimeblower, which of course means building and mounting a tank to it. I’ll probably also take the the little hook thing off and replace it with a slime scoop if I can.
