Didn’t know where to put this as it relates to parts but is about customs in the UK.
My first ever shipment from GBFans has been in UK customs since Monday morning and it still says “awaiting clearance”.
How long does it normally take a priority mail package to pass through UK customs?

I got my first package from this site’s fine emporium about a month ago. As with most things you buy from across the pond, I had a card through the door telling me to cough up a small amount of tax… and an extortionate amount of “handeling fees”. I paid online straight away, and it turned up within two days after that.
Did you track it at all? It’s been sat at customs now since monday with no movement. Parcelforce are waiting for it to be cleared before they can inform me about import charges and handling fee’s
I’ve learned over the years that tracking a parcel only frustrates me. If it’s from some dodgy Chinese seller on eBay, I’ll keep my eye on it, but otherwise I end up getting wound up over how long it’s taking… just like you are now. 
Out of interest, what was in it? If they X ray it and see electronics they might take a bit longer to investigate it. My one was just a flight suit and other uniform bits.
Hahaha yeah that’s exactly what I’m doing lol. Like an impatient kid at xmas. Its on the move now with the tag of “revised charges to be paid” I’m dreading how much they are going to sting me for.
Yup it was lights, sound, speaker, cables and metal bits such as hose barbs and clippard elbows etc so would probably look like a bomb :-s
Hehe. Yeah that kind of stuff would probably set off a few alarms. Even if they didn’t think “bomb”, they prbably have to investigate all electronics these days incase there’s a battery in there.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the import duty, it’s the fees that really take the ■■■■. 
I’ve read the fees are bad so really not looking forward to it. Its been processed now and is at the national hub. Hopefully not too long of a wait now
