Cyclotron red lenses - what does everyone use?

Ok, as promised here is the rats nest that is the inside of my cylotron.

Pics of my lens set up.

First pic is of lights in action.

Pic 2 is with the cylotron taken off to one side. The excellent Exoray light kit and battery packs all hot glued rock solid in place.

Starting to zoom in.

I hot glued the flash light mirrors in place and temporarily taped the leds in with electric tape. You can also see the bolt in the middle that holds the whole lot in place. Goes right through the bumper and screws into the iron knob.

Because the perspex comes with a white pertective sheet on both sides it was easy to offer it up to the back of the cylotron, draw the holes on the white plasic then glue the flash light mirrors exactly in place on the other side

Additional: Pack wiring picture (had to sign up for a free host cos I can’t get my normal one to work)

I used red (and blue) lighting gels, sandwiched between pieces of plexiglass.

The cyclotron lights were coming through too bright (and clear) so I ended up

lightly sanding the backside of the plexi to “smoke” it. It diffuses quite nicely now.

I left the power cell plexi alone and it looks okay as well.

Those are nice. Great to see the insides. I never thought of using a large piece of acrylic instead of cutting 4 circles.

I actually posted this pic on another thread just now to show the brackets but you can see the red plexiglass I used. I got it from McMaster Carr.
