Dammit (Overwrote my Game when starting a new one)

So I tried starting a new career on my 360 to play thru the game with my girlfriend but didn’t realize that in doing that, I erased my entire original career, in which I beat the game…argh! Is there any way to have seperate careers saved on the game?

Multiple profiles. Aside from that I don’t know.

Yeah…I realized this once I started over on the professional setting. Too bad that by then it was already too late. Next time I’ll use a different profile.

The short answer… no. It would seem the GB game uses one save-game file. If you want to start again you must erase the previous game.

The only alternative (which is mentioned above) is to create another profile on your xbox so you have a separate save-game file under each profile.

if you want to get all the achievements you unfortunately gotta stay on that one username so say goodbye to previous files! (er correction…to the previous FILE)

If you beat the game already why does it matter? I saved over my original game like 14 times already grabbing the last artifacts and ghost-scans.

But another good way would be to just use a different storage device.. a memory card, usb drive… etc.

I don’t believe you can save to a USB drive. Otherwise people wouldn’t buy 120 GB 360 hard drives for $150 when they could get a 1 TB external hard drive for the same price.

Yeah. I actually have no idea.. I just assumed you could hook one up through USB.

You can, I believe. Someone was talking to me about it at Work when LIVE was down (he couldn’t stream from it, LIVE needs to be signed in for some reason) But don’t take my word as fact, I’m not 100% sure.

I can just save on my memory card, I bought it to transfer data from my old Xbox HD to my new one, so I kept it.

Can’t you go to level select and just choose an earlier level on a harder difficulty? That’s what I did, and while I can’t keep all of my upgrades from previous levels I believe that I can still go and play any other level I want.

This is true. You can actually start from any checkpoint within a level. Thats how I’m grabbing certain artifacts and achievements…
