Hey guys I’m looking for a how-to on the proton stream for video. Can anyone help? I have Adobe Premier and Photoshop.
Paranormal Labs does have a tutorial for doing video proton streams with ALAMDV, but nothing for creating it with Premiere & Photoshop.
Basically, what you do is you take video clip into Premiere and save it as a filmstrip file. You then open the filmstrip in Photoshop, and I think you resave it as a Photoshop image. All frames will be displayed at once as if they were one image (arranged in rows & columns with a gray area in between, I believe), and you just add the stream to each frame (best to do the clip in chunks, so that there are less frames to be opened up in Photoshop). Then you can use Ben King’s tutorial to add the stream ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/20392427/?qo=52&q=by%3Akingpin1055&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps ) I’m not sure, but I think you have to make sure that you don’t draw into the area inbetween the frames. After you’re done, you simply save it as a filmstrip file (if you save it as a Photshop file at this point, it won’t work). You can then take the filmstrip back into premiere to convert it to any other video format.
Now, I must tell you I’ve never done this myself. I’ve just read about it.
