elbow pads.....

it really seems to be a problem to get some accurate elbow pads here in europe

i found several pads from MARTIN and BE, but nobody could tell me if its possible to remove the name brand

somebody allready postet this link from cannonsports

http://www.cannonsports.com/p/PRO+SERIES%2C+3+PC.+VOLLEYBALL+KNEE+PADS+[ADULT+WHITE]/61108

as the shop does not ship overseas i would like to know if somebody could order 1 or 2 pairs and send it over to germany (sure i will pay all costs infront)

I bought a pair through ebay from them.

It was a buy-it-now auction and, at the time, there were 88 pairs available.

After I paid, I got an email saying they were out of stock.

Why have so many on ebay if you don’t actually have them?

I wasn’t happy with the way they communicated. They asked if I wanted a replacement pair (nothing like the pro series) and I said no. They took two and a half days to refund my payment.

Who knows, they might have them back in stock now and you might have a better experience.

Good luck!

Have you tried searching for judo knee pads? I found out recently they make those in the same style as well:

thanks …

just noticed that cannonsports has free shipping if the order is more than $50 … so if anybody wanted to order the pads there anyway (if available) and is willing to send to germany, let me know

otherwise i will contact the karate shop if they ship overseas, infact they cost $7 more but look pretty much the same

Word of advice, contact them and verify that what you see is what you get, many sites use stock photos and as inventory and suppliers change they don’t update the pictures…

i was just contacted by karate depot regarding the shipping costs of the pads to germany

**The following are your shipping quotes for 3 pairs of knee pads to Germany:

Priority Mail International $42.57 USD

Express Mail International $50.32 USD**

r they nuts ? i mean how heavy or big are 3 pairs of knee pads ??? … sorry but sometimes people try to make some xtra money with shipping costs when they hear “shipping overseas”

i did order several stuff from the US in the past and most of the time the shipping quotes where fair prices, but this sounds like a rip off to me !!

Sounds about right, probably a little handling and possible packing charge, filling out the customs paperwork slows down the shipping process and lets face it they are in the business to make money and time is money… Priority Mail to Germany STARTS at $24, Express STARTS at $31… These are starting prices nothing cheaper, if they estimate 3 lbs then you can add about $8 to the above or $32 and $39… Their prices are not really that out of line, shipping overseas from the US is getting expensive as of late… UPS and FedEx START at about $70 for International packages now!

Now you can ship ground for a less, but there is no estimated delivery time frame and I have personally had packages take over 30 days to arrive in Germany when shipped by cheaper methods…

Dimensional weight…

Very true, there be an up charge due to size regardless of weight…

Cmon guys you cant be serious …. I ordered for example a custome for my daughter several month ago from a US seller … it came in a bigger box (a helmet was included) with priority mail and i paid about 25$ for shipping …

normally it would be possible to send 1 pair of the pads in a bigger envelope

like i said …some sellers have true prices and some dont … its the same when u guys order some stuff overseas and wonder why a seller can ship a bigger package cheaper than another seller with a smaller item

and when u have some experience with shipping costs from overseas u see when somebody is fair and if somebody trys to rip u off

Serious? No factual… The MINIMUM Priority Mail charge is in fact $24 this is a fact, feel free to verify it for yourself…

http://ircalc.usps.gov/default.aspx?Mode=Intl_Single&CID=10137

That is the official United States Postal calculator for packages to Germany, change the weight to 1 single ounce and verify for yourself the minimum is in fact $24…

If you only paid $25 for shipping priority then the seller probably picked up the difference, as it cost me $27 to mail 2 lights kits, hardly a big box and they weigh just over a pound, but there is in fact a $27 stamp required to mail the buggers…

And it’s also a fact that the postal service as well as FedEx, UPS and DHL charge extra for dimensional shipping… If they box verse weight ratio is in favor of them making more by size then they have the option to charge by size rather then weight…

For USP they take the width x height x length and divide by 194, this is the pound rate you will be charged…

So for example a 10" x 10" x 10" (1000/194 = 5.15 they round up to the next full pound, so 6) box shipped by UPS will cost you the 6 pound weight regardless of how much it actually weighs…

As for the Postal Service, the maximum size for First Class shipments is now 36" combined width, height, length, bigger then that and you have to use Priority mail, no slow boat cheap method…

I fully agree it’s stupid, but these are the rates, the only other option is to ship it ground and with that there are no delivery time frames promised, it will simply get there when it gets there…

These rates have more then doubled in the last few years, it makes US sellers look bad like we are over charging but we are stuck and it’s out of our control, unless we use slow boat shipping…

I spent over $1000 in postage sending out my sound kits this Halloween, so I am well aware of how RUDE it can be!!!
