Extreme Ghostbusters availability

Does anyone know why Sony wont release this show on either DVD or Netflix? YouTube has episodes loaded and then taken down so Sony is actively preventing fans from watching the show. It’s so underrated, EGB. I want to give Sony my money but they won’t release anything!

Season 1 has been released in Europe. It’s a Region 2 DVD (US/Canada is Region 1) so you would need to import the DVD and use either a multi-region DVD player or VLC Media Player on your PC to watch it.

We got more access here in the UK, no idea why America got the raw deal on this show. Sony appear to be shooting themselves in the foot. If you want the complete series, just inbox me

Not all of the show, just the first 7-10 episodes or so.

England got a volume 1 on DVD, think there’s under 10 episodes on there, but we did get some sources of streaming for a while. Now I’ve got the complete uncut series

@Amanda for some reason the episodes you linked to have a runtime of only 15 minutes. They cut off after that.

Strange, they did that for one other person too, but they work on my end. You tried reloading or using a different browser? Are you downloading or streaming?

Odd. They’re working fine for me.

@ Amanda. Streaming off an Ipad. I’ve used safari and chrome. Both do the same 15 minute thing. Hmm I wonder what the issue is since it works for other people. I’m based in Canada, don’t know if that makes a difference or not.

@croker how did you view them? Streaming or download?

I think the other guy who had the same problem was also streaming off an iPad

Got it to work! Quick question, does everyone else have a 4x3 picture with widescreen bars horizontal and vertical? I can zoom it in to fill the screen but it should just have bars on the side, not the top and bottom. Besides that the picture quality is great! Thanks again

I’m steaming with my iPad too but I’m watching them via the Dropbox app rather than safari. Don’t know if that makes a difference.

I have to zoom in and it fills the screen with no bars as well.

The only downside is that they’re not widescreen, they have a black boarder and that’s all that should be there.

I was lucky and cunning enough to get my hands in these and it’s the very best that’s available without a formal DVD release (which I still hope will happen one day)

How did you get these episodes? The quality is so good it looks like it’s come right from a master print(or tape). I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth but with no DVD release and the quality you’ve gotten ahold of, I’m just curious. Do you have connections? I’ve never seen the show look so crisp and vivid. It’s truly remarkable. Thanks again!
