hey there! id just like to let everyone know that ive posted part 1 of my very first ghostbusters fanfiction. I wanted to do one for a long time but, i never got around to it and i couldnt come up with an idea i liked.
…originally, i wanted to do a story with the original ghostbusters but then i thought wouldnt it be cool of extreme ghostbusters didnt end because I for one enjoyed the series, though in some ways i wish it had tied in more completely with The Real Ghostbusters…
…so, in short, I am writing an Extreme Ghostbusters fan fiction story/book/novella what have you and posting it here in the Fan Ficiton section for you guys to read! I sincerely welcome any feedback on it, (including corrrections!) and ideas! Its titled. " Extreme Ghostbusters: Exodus. " Im going to throw in plenty of references to the Real Ghostbusters, the films, and explore creatures and areas and situations that really havent been fully looked at in the cartoon series continuity.

I’ve been rewatching the EGB episode on this site, so some of the stuff from them is a lot fresher than it used to be–I think you handled the Extreme Team quite well. Garrett doing daredevil stuff. A few hints of Kylie and Eduardo’s could-be relationship. I especially thought the insight about Roland was quite good: an introverted Ray. Sums him up quite nicely.
Well, as a sucker for good Egon/Janine stories this was also handled well. “The love and confusion of her life” just sums it up beautifully. These two have always had their issues (and not all of them have been caused by in-story factors) but most fans I know end up rooting for them. Alas, the ending of this chapter does make it look like their futures are a little moot…
I guess the closest I can come to “nitpicking” is some of the time frame references. At one pont you mention it being a month after “Sphinx”, and Kylie being 18, which would be consistant with that, but at other times you mention the battle with Gozer as being about twenty years ago. If the first movie happened in 1983 or 1984, and EGB happened in 1997, the more “accurate” interval would be about fifteen years.
(Oh, grife…I might as well do this…go here for obsessive amounts of detail on timeline issues :lol: )
All in all, an impressive effort. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

Thanks! I’m still working on it and fine tuning it. I’m focusing more on my other Ghostbusters piece “Canis Mors” right now but this one is definitely getting some TLC behind the scenes
