Extreme PKE....

Hey-

I’m curious to know if anyone has ever made an Extreme GB PKE meter, and if so what materials and parts were used, along with prices and location lists.

I thought that was the coolest PKE meter, and just trying to figure out how to make one.

to me it looks almost exactly like the rgb one, so just buy one of those take it apart cut off where the antenna goes in seal it and use 2 dowel rods for its antennas, that seems the easiest

.

I’ve actually been working on one for quite some time, due to limited time tho i’ve only gotten so far, i can show you my progress if you’re interesteD?

By all means! I’d be very interested. I can’t remember if my email addy is on my profile or not, but you’re welcome to send me what pics or plans you have.

Thanks alot!

Im kinda working on one right now Its under RGB Proton pack. Its under that because im building the rgb pack trap and pke and since its the same shape as the rgb pke, i figured i would do it at the same time. As far as parts im using 1/8 lauan board for all the basic boxes pvc pipe for the handles leds from radio shack for the lighting and basically hand making the rest of the parts out of wood. I just started yesterday afternoon for about an hour and didn’t get to in the process. But i have off today so i may get really far.

Can y’all tell me what I’m looking for in the way of screen lights? I know they were 5 or so vertical bars in the show, but I don’t know the first thing about electronics, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

drat!!! It’s too big but I remembered seeing this thing and was hoping it would fit. But it’s WAYYYYYY to big!

Cool anyway. Check it out!

Maybe it could still be used for something?!

I want one.

That would totally work for the XGB (or EGB?) PKE meter although its too big like you said. Still.. thats a sweet shirt.

It IS a sweet shirt and that is one of my all time favorite websites as well!

Any hope of finding an equalizer display that’s 2"X2" and that I can run off a pair of AA batteries? Radioshack?

I think the best way to make the equalizer screen would to do it from scratch.

Some LEDs

Cut some retcangular holes and cover the back with different colors of plastic…bam

Sure it would be steady burning but the illusion is there.

So if I make the screen from a set of radioshack lights, could I get a circuit board that would create the effect as well? Or would I have to get that made custom?

Check out that link in it’s full-ness. I think it could be used for a EGB PKE in the Scan mode, if you just update it using bigger LEDs.
